About Misty

Misty is the Chief Financial Officer of the Wyoming Community Foundation; she has been with WYCF since September of 2013. Misty graduated from Midland Lutheran College in 1994, received her CPA certification from the State of Nebraska in 1996, and spent the next 15 + years working in Public Accounting in Nebraska, Kansas, and Wyoming.  Misty joined the Cheyenne, Wyoming office of  McGladrey & Pullen in the fall of 1997, where she began working in the tax department. The partners of this office bought out of McGladrey in 2000, becoming McGee, Hearne & Paiz, LLP (MHP) with local ownership and a focus on community. Misty worked with this office from 1997 to 2010, with the exception of about one year during which she worked as a Finance Manager for a local chemical manufacturing company. Misty left MHP in 2010 to broaden her financial/accounting knowledge as well as complete her MBA at the University of Wyoming. Misty has previously worked with many volunteer organizations in Cheyenne, including serving as President of the Cheyenne Kiwanis Club 2012-2013 and is a graduate of the 2006-2007 Leadership Cheyenne program sponsored by the Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce. In addition to her Nebraska CPA certification Misty currently holds a CPA certification with the State of Wyoming and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Wyoming Society of CPAs.
