Marissa Carpio

Advocacy Coordinator, Wyoming Women’s Foundation

About Marissa

Marissa is the Advocacy Coordinator of the Wyoming Women’s Foundation, a priority fund of the Wyoming Community Foundation. Marissa received a Bachelor of Science in Justice Systems and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Truman State University. She is a graduate of the University of Wyoming’s Master of Public Administration program with a concentration Non-Profit Organizations. In her role at the Women’s Foundation, she works to advance systems change with statewide advocacy, grassroots organizing, research, and collaboration. The Foundation aims to pursue greater equality for women and girls in Wyoming. Whem women and girls prosper, communities thrive. Marissa loves spending time outdoors – whether that’s rafting, climbing, biking, playing sports, or backpacking. Granted, she’s not very good at any of those things, but enjoys them nonetheless!

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world: indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
