Rod Kvidahl Memorial Scholarship


  • Amount distributed is one $1,500 scholarship for four-academic years
  • Specific applicant must have a parent who at the time the award is made, is and has for at least one year, been employed by Genesis Alkali (formerly known as Tronox/FMC) at its facility in Sweetwater County, Wyoming, or is retired from or died while in the employment of Tronox
  • Applicants must have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Upload most recent transcript to the online application
  • Financial need must be demonstrated through completion of the Financial Aid Affidavit on the application
  • Application deadline is March 1st
  • This is a four-year scholarship


  • Funds are paid directly to the accredited educational institution and not to the individual
  • This scholarship may be accepted in addition to other awards
  • If awarded, student must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA for the first year and a 2.5 cumulative GPA thereafter
  • A recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student throughout each semester
