Rachel is a Casper girl who grew up on the banks of the North Platte River. She graduated from Colorado College with a BA in History and soon after left the Rocky Mountains for San Francisco. It was there that she started her education in business, marketing, and communications in the technology world which took her to London, UK to join a digital media company in 2003. But Rachel grew up in Wyoming and missed the wide-open plains and mountains and being part of a community. When she returned in 2009, Rachel sought opportunities to use her skills to help build a better Wyoming. From her grassroots campaign work for the American Cancer Society to her leadership of the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra and more recently the Food Bank of Wyoming, Rachel’s work has centered on fostering community and connectivity across Wyoming. In 2023 Rachel was awarded “Women of Influence” in the non-profit sector by Wyoming Business Report and then 2024’s “Women of the Year” for Wyoming by USA Today. Outside of work she enjoys winter and summer outdoor activities, cooking, live music performances, and travel.
