About this scholarship 

This scholarship was established to support a female student of at least 1/8 American Indian descent, who is currently demonstrating success in higher education. 

Daughters of the American Revolution promotes education and literacy by offering scholarships and through educational outreach. Wyoming’s members touch the lives of many throughout their communities by volunteering their time and talents in various efforts. 

Who is eligible? 

Any female HS graduate or GED recipient who is of at least 1/8 American Indian descent, currently in higher education and demonstrating success, who is a Wyoming resident. 

What is the amount of the scholarship? 

$3,000 

What is the length of the scholarship? 

1 year 

Scholarship recipients may then re-apply for an additional year. Scholarship recipients are responsible for knowing which opportunities allow for re-application; they will not be notified about this specifically.

Essay questions and additional materials: 

Essay answers should be between 2,000 and 3,000 characters. Aim for a response that is no fewer than 500 words long. 

  • Please address your American Indian Heritage. What is your blood ratio and what tribes are you affiliated with? What do you plan to do with your education to better your life and the lives of other Native Americans?
