Our Story

Who We Are

Since 1989, the Wyoming Community Foundation (WYCF) has connected people who care with causes that matter to build a better Wyoming. With over 500 funds and $270 million in assets, we support local nonprofits and make grants in every county. WYCF has granted more than $150 million to charitable causes and works with donors to support the communities and organizations they care about most.

By working with donors, nonprofits, and communities, WYCF makes giving accessible and impactful, helping strengthen organizations and the communities they serve. As one of the only accredited community foundations in Wyoming, WYCF is your trusted partner in philanthropy.

WYCF serves donors and communities by connecting them to causes they care about most. We make giving easy by accepting a wide-range of gifts, from cash and appreciated securities to more complex gifts such as real estate and mineral interests. WYCF is overseen by a volunteer board who ensures that your funds are being used to best support Wyoming.

WYCF exercises commitment beyond the law to the public good and accountability to the communities we serve.

Respect

We strive to bring the worth and dignity of all individuals and communities to the forefront of our work.

Honesty

We value transparency about our processes, actions, goals, and results.

Responsibility

WYCF prides itself on providing excellent stewardship of the resources we hold.

What's it like partnering with WYCF?

“One thing I love about working with WYCF is I know I can trust their staff. Partnering with WYCF for our DAF is like having our own family foundation without having to manage it. They support investments that do the most good for my community."

James & Ann Ruble - Donor Advised Fund holder

“I know that WYCF is always a partner in our success. Not only do they provide grant money for new programs, but they provide expertise. I know I can always pick up a phone or email somebody and they will help.”

Kilty Brown - Executive Director, Central Wyoming Hospice & Transitions

“The Wyoming Community Foundation was one of our first grants, and that support was incredibly important, especially in those early years,” said Kelly. “This is keeping people in their homes.”
