About this grant

Beginning summer 2026, libraries or associated entities should apply for grant funding through the McMurry Library Endowment Fund Application.

WYCF accepts one application per library system per grant deadline. If you have previously received funding, a final report must be submitted prior to submitting a new grant request.

If awarded, grantees should skip the next cycle before applying again.

The deadlines for this grant will continue to follow the competitive cycle dates.

WYCF gives priority to libraries who:

  • Address an identified community need and work to create a long-term solution
  • Partner with other nonprofits or programs to enhance services without duplication
  • Leverage dollars received from WYCF to obtain additional or future funding
  • The McMurry Library Endowment Fund does not support general operating requests from libraries or library foundations, they must be project-specific

In the past, WYCF has provided support for libraries in various ways:

  • Providing e-readers to expand access to books for families at Albany County Public Library
  • Funding to support a Story Walk in Crook County for people of all ages and families to enjoy together
  • Providing private work spaces at Laramie County Public Library so members of the public have a space to have a job interview, participate in telehealth or work virtually

If you are an individual applying for the McMurry Library Continuing Staff Education Grants, learn more in our Scholarship Directory, and apply through the Scholarship Portal.
