The Wyoming Women's Foundation supports economic self-sufficiency
and access to opportunities for women and girls in Wyoming
by raising funds, making grants, and providing leadership.
History
In 1999, Chambers Family Fund partnered with the Wyoming Community Foundation to establish the Wyoming Women's Foundation. Chambers Family Fund matched donations to the endowment up to $500,000. With the fundraising expertise of the Wyoming Community Foundation and the determination of the advisory board comprised of women from across the state, the Wyoming Women's Foundation raised $500,000 over a five-year period to meet the Chambers Family Fund challenge. The principal will remain invested with the Wyoming Community Foundation while income earned by the endowment each year will be made available for grants.
